About the team


Based at our Birmingham or Cumbernauld locations, our French Speaking Customer Service Advisors play a vital role in supporting our customers to use our services.

Our customers expect world class service and you'll be part of a team who are continuously striving to achieve this.

You will primarily be responsible for answering authorisation calls and solving any issues customers may face during their time with us.

Working as part of a team on a flexible rotational basis between the hours of 5.00am

  • 9.00pm Monday Saturday and 7:00am
  • 9:00pm on Sundays over 5 days for a total of 35 hrs a week. Commitment to the team, our customers and the business are all key priorities. In return FIS offer a full training package and a great working environment in which to support the build and development of your career.

What you will be doing
Provide customer support to our French Language Merchant Clients via telephone answering cheque authorization calls.

  • Answer all authorization calls promptly, efficiently and professionally
  • Update customer information and ensure accurate entry of contact information.
  • Follow appropriate and correct scripts and procedures for all calls
  • Identify systems problems and escalate in a timely manner
  • Promote an excellent image of the company
  • Provide administrative support to the Team Leader

  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work both as a member of a team and on own initiative
  • Experience of working with customers, either face to face or over the phone.
  • Fluent French is essential, you will also have a good understanding English both written and verbal.

Added bonus if you have:


  • Previous experience in working in a Contact Centre
  • Microsoft office knowledge
