About Us:
The Association of the Friends of Salisbury Cathedral was established in 1930 to support the fabric and life of Salisbury Cathedral.
The Role:
We are seeking a dynamic Charity Administrator to lead and administer our charity.
In this pivotal role, you will ensure efficient operation and growth of the Association, in line with Charity Commission rules and our objectives.
You'll have the opportunity to engage with our membership, manage funds, and develop crucial aspects of office and governance management.
Key Responsibilities:

Governance: Prepare and administer meetings, update policies, and ensure proper documentation.

Office Management: Supervise and assistant administrator, manage IT and membership database, and maintain records of income and expenses.

Promotion: Develop strategies for member recruitment, maintain visibility in the cathedral, and organise our annual events program.

Publications: Coordinate content creation and distribution for the Association's publications.
Who You Are:

Education: GCSE level education or higher, preferably with a secretarial qualification.

Experience: Strong background in customer relations, communication, IT, event management.

Skills: Excellent interpersonal and writing skills, proficiency in Word and Excel, and a knack for creative thinking.

Attributes: A mature and professional approach, empathy with our aims, and the ability to handle confidential issues sensitively.
Desirable:
- Publications experience, bookkeeping skills, and experience in implementing new systems.
- Experience in charity law and administration.
