We are currently seeking dedicated Support Workers to join our team at a supported living service in beautiful Cumbria.

As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing person-centered care and support to adults with learning disabilities and autism, empowering them to live fulfilling and independent lives.

Key Responsibilities:

Providing practical assistance and emotional support to individuals with daily living activities, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
Promoting independence and facilitating access to community resources and activities.
Building meaningful relationships with service users, their families, and other stakeholders.
Implementing care plans and individualized support strategies tailored to the unique needs and preferences of each individual.
Monitoring and documenting progress, concerns, and incidents in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.

Requirements:

Previous experience working with adults with learning disabilities and/or autism is highly desirable.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and engage effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach to care.
Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ/QCF in Health and Social Care) are advantageous but not essential.
