Manual Machinist / Tool Maker

Ely, Full Time

£30-40K Depending on Experience

Our client based in Ely is enjoying an exciting period of growth, due to an increase of orders, additional members of staff are required to fulfil the demand.

A new role has become available for an experienced Manual Machinist/Tool Maker to craft parts requiredfor machinery, modify existing equipment, and carry out repairs.

You will be working within supportive environment where you will be a valued member of staff

Duties:

Machining of parts including milling and turning
Building and modifying new or existing machinery
Ordering new tools and materials and regular stock takes of these
Organising time and supporting Junior members of staff

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

Fully skilled in Milling and Turning which will include ability to turn between tight tolerances
Experienced and proficient in rotary table usage
Assembly of precision tooling, linear and rotary products
Machining of various materials including copper, stainless steel and aluminium
Working to best engineering practice
