Our client is looking for a Document Controller on a permanent, staff basis, located in Aberdeen.


ROLE
Our client is seeking a motivated Document Controller to join their Engineering department.

As a Document Controller you will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient document control and information management within our Atlantic region.

Reporting to our Lead Document Controller in Norway, you will collaborate closely with the Project Manager and Project Technical Managers within the region.


RESPONSIBILITIES
In this role some of your main responsibilities will be:

  • To assist the Lead Document Controller in managing and supporting the Document Control requirements in the Atlantic Region.
  • You will use different systems such as ProArc and Unisea, as well as providing training for new users in these.
  • Analyzing the client's requirements to execute the project and organize activities in line with project administrative requirements will also be an important part of your job.
  • Together with the Project Technical Manager you will define specific instructions to Engineering Disciplines and other participants regarding the documentation to be supplied to the Client and the documentation to be obtained from Vendors, Suppliers and Subcontractors.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Relevant university degree in business administration, economy, management or similar. (experience can compensate for lack of formally proven competence)
  • Ability to work structured
  • Good organisational and communication skills
  • Fluent written, and oral communication skills, in English
  • Highly confident, selfmotivated and selfdisciplined person with sound management and organisational skills
  • Must be able to perform and achieve at a high level with mínimal supervision
  • Good organizational skills and smart working methods
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to facilitate interaction with the employees
  • Good working knowledge of the company Business Management System
  • Good skills in use of IT systems, like MS Office and 365, Proarc, Docmap, Unisea
  • Flexible and proactive
  • Reporting to the Lead Document Controller
