ABOUT THE JOB

  • At McCain, it's not just about what we make, but it's about how we make it that is important. We are looking for a test operative to strengthen the process team. Based at our Whittlesey plant, you will be responsible for working as part of a team in the Process department, assisting the Area Manager, in the routine operation of the process area and the control of additive mixtures, according to company procedure.
  • You will alter process plant machinery when instructed to do so by the Area Manager/Shift Manager (i.e. speed), reports any faults or malfunctions to the management team, and ensure that where appropriate, all company documentation and procedures are followed and executed in the correct manner to company requirements i.e. safe isolation, startup check sheets and cleaning records.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR.

  • We are looking for someone who can really make a difference to our plant, who brings experience of Hygiene, Food and Health & Safety standards, and has a real ability to promote and enforce behaviours and actions that will prevent all contamination threats to products whether physical, microbial, or chemical.

WHERE YOU'LL WORK:

You'll be based at our Whittlesey plant in Peterborough.

If you've spotted our three wind turbines, then you'll know where we are With about 350 employees on site, we're one of our largest plants across the GB business.

Our Whittlesey plant is where we make our famous French Fries as well as our chilled products, such as our Shake Shake Fries.
