Description

About us
Florence Arts Centre (FAC) is a participatory community arts hub where everyone can get creative.

Within walking distance from Egremont, we comprise studios, performance space, gallery, shop stocked with work by local makers and a wildlife garden.

We are also home to Florence Paintmakers, creating unique, high-quality art materials from natural earth pigments (including Egremont Red from our site) for sale online, on site, and through selected retailers.

We are looking for a new Paintmaker to continue to grow our microbusiness and support the Arts Centre, undertaking a range of tasks from creating the products and posting out through monitoring sales, contacting wholesalers and giving talks and demonstrations to visitors.

The postholder will have good attention to detail, precision and manual dexterity and be a good communicator. As a member of a small team, they will need a flexible attitude and acan-do attitude. Training in paintmaking will be given. Some weekend working will be necessary.

At FAC we promote inclusion in line with our Manifesto values.

We want everyone to feel welcome and we actively celebrate the diversity of our staff and everyone we work with, regardless of ability, age, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender or faith.
