We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Associate Director - New Business Team to join our team in Jersey.


Purpose of Job:


The purpose of the role is primarily to ensure the efficient and effective on-boarding of new clients and management of the New Business Teams.

The primary focus of the role relates to private clients.


By maintaining close working relationships with stakeholders, the post holder will ensure JTC's standards, culture, and policies & procedures are maintained and developed.


The post holder will also have responsibility for liaising with the client administration and sales teams to ensure that all client matters, in relation to new business, are dealt with promptly and any issues are referred to line management immediately.


In addition to proactively managing the new business teams, to prepare relevant internal approval documentation, co-ordinate and present directly to the Business Acceptance Meetings.


As a key member of the New Business team, related management duties will include ensuring all collateral is updated in line with any Regulatory changes or internal updates as required.


Monitoring and reporting on new business leads, identification of improvements and enhancements to JTC's process and development and implementation of relevant procedures for approval by the business.


Main Responsibilities and Duties:


  • Working within the regulatory framework as specified by the relevant regulatory body, to ensure that governance, oversight and compliance protocols within the group are appropriately applied to potential and new business.
  • Maintain a high level of technical competence and market awareness in order to maximize the effectiveness, efficiency and client satisfaction during the onboarding experience.
  • Proactively manage private client new business enquiries and ensure the timely progression of opportunities for JTC.
  • Prepare relevant internal approval documentation, coordinate and present directly to the BAM. Ensure consistency and clarity of the BAM packs and approval documentation in order to maximize the effectiveness of relevant senior management resource.
  • Ensure compliant and orderly transition of Potential to Live clients in accordance with JTC due diligence, KYC and new business procedures.
  • Ensure implementation of structures, opening of bank accounts and orderly staged transition to relevant administration team as appropriate.
  • Be aware of and play an active role in the achievement of "New Business" targets. Proactively seek new business opportunities and contribute to strategies to meet the changing needs of clients and JTC by identifying trends and analyzing Salesforce to identify emerging and cross selling opportunities within the Group.
  • Maintain and enhance the principal new business management tools including Salesforce database and MI Reporting suite.
  • Production of relevant Group level Management Information as a key input for monitoring and decision making by the BAM.
  • Assist with the development and enhancement of JTC standard fee structures and fixed fee frameworks to ensure they remain competitive, transparent and appropriate.
  • Provide first class support for introducers of new business to JTC.
  • Ensure the usual expected disciplines are undertaken effectively including prompt completion of call reports and meeting notes, proactively contribution to strategic and management forums and to behave at all times in a professional manner in the best interests of JTC.
  • Liaise with Directors and other members of the Global Business
  • Development team as a matter of routine.
  • Seek advice when faced with difficult issues/problems.
  • To behave at all times in a professional manner in the best interests of JTC.
  • The ability to work under pressure and manage strict deadlines is essential as is the need to adapt to new systems and processes quickly.

Essential Requirements:


  • Trust & Company administration background
  • Proven track record in people management
  • Awareness of AML/CFT requirements in multiple jurisdictions
  • Knowledge of onboarding requirements
  • Can do attitude
