Reed Accountancy are proud to be working with a
UK Leading company within the property industry. They are recruiting for a
Payroll Assistant to work
full-time in a
permanent role. This roleis in
North Leeds and is
37.5 hours a week with an
early finish on a Friday. They are looking for someone who can do
end to end Payroll.


Key responsibilities:

  • Inputting of monthly payroll data into the payroll system
  • Processing new starters, leavers, and contract changes
  • Assisting the payroll manager in processing 10 UK monthly employee payroll end to end process across ten payrolls using Cascade Payroll
  • Processing and submission of relevant HMRC forms including RTI P45, P46 etc
  • Upload pension information onto Pension portals
  • Validating and inputting all data received to agreed deadlines
  • Handling employee queries regarding payroll. This will include liaising with both internal and external contacts including the internal HR team and HMRC
  • Assisting yearend payroll procedures and completion of Class 1A NIC's and P11Ds
  • Implementation and processing of autoenrolment pension schemes for all employees
  • Inputting, calculation and recording of statutory payments such as SMP
  • Using manual calculations where necessary for more complicated situations including statutory payments, holidays, redundancies and pay adjustments

You will need to demonstrate:


  • Experience of Cascade HR payroll (desirable)
  • Experience of leading the endtoend Payroll process including query resolution
  • Good understanding of Microsoft office (e.g Excel)
  • Ability to work strict deadlines
  • Numerate with the ability to analyse, process and present information concisely and clearly
  • High level of personal credibility and an understanding of working with sensitive and confidential information
