What you'll be doing
Working together, with the Operational Excellence lead that is responsible for the sites of the Added Value business unit.

Lead continuous improvement work plans with a focus on opening new Gaps, directing, and managing the Operational Excellence Management method to support consistency of results.


Key Duties
-
Operational Excellence:


  • Ensure the maintenance and correct use of the pillars of Operational Excellence

Pillar Management

  • Responsible for helping sites ensure the consistency of results achieved with action plans, keeping the pillar management consistent.

Open and close GAPs - Work with the sites to build the goals based on the GAP tracker using KPIs and ZBB (zero-based budgeting) toll.

OpEx KPIs & GAP Management
  • Consolidate and have a live working document of Op Ex KPI's, Goals and Gap Closure within your Sites.

Labour Tool

  • Support the Implementation and Management of the Labour Tool (Tool Maintenance, Support the site to serve the simulator for the monthly plan and seek new reduction opportunities and Updates), actively use the tool to drive labour performance improvements including new opportunities.

Theoretical GAP

  • Manage and lead Theoretical GAPs based on the best results the site has already did, also benchmarks and best practices as a reference.

Benchmarking

  • Make comparisons between processes seeking the best practice (Internal and external companies).

Support the business in the gathering of requirements including prioritisation and Fit/Gap
-
Support the Procurement / Legal team in gathering the necessary details to support the RFX process.

Agree project cost and benefits, then manage assigned project budgets and progress against plan.


Essential:


  • Experience in Lean Manufacture / Continuous Improvement
  • Availability to travel, work 80% of the time on sites.
  • Experience of embedding new process and methods by involving and influencing people through empowerment and coaching
  • Real impactful gravitas and presence. An individual with energy, stamina and passion.
  • Strong analytical skills & problem solving
  • Experience of implementing new process and methods

Desirable:


  • Degree [desirable]
  • 6 Sigma certification (desired)
