Subsea 7 is currently recruiting for a Supply Chain Management Graduate to join our Commercial Graduate Development Programme in September/October 2023 in our London offices (UK).

Subsea 7 provides project management, engineering and construction expertise across three operational business units.

Through our 3 Business Units - SURF and Conventional, Life of Field and Renewables & Heavy Lifting we are able to provide full energy lifecycle services.


We provide integrated services and we plan and design and manage the delivery of complex projects in harsh and challenging environments.


Commercial Graduate Development Scheme
Through our Commercial Graduate Development Scheme our graduates are able to gain experience within Subsea 7's key commercial departments.

There are four main elements of the programme:

On-the-job development


Through on-the-job training you will develop key capabilities related to Supply Chain Management, Contracts, Project Control, Sales and Marketing, and Tendering.

This on-the-job training will involve but is not limited to:


  • Learning Subsea 7 ways of working and how the business operates
  • Develop commercial awareness
  • Develop an understanding of Subsea 7's technical competencies
  • Awareness of Subsea 7's Clients' needs
  • Bring Subsea 7's values to life in terms of Safety, Performance, Integrity, Collaboration and Innovation and Sustainability
  • Work with Clients, Subcontractors and internal stakeholders
  • Recognise the objectives for professional development and strive to achieve development goals
  • Perform work in accordance with the Company's Business Management System and good working practices

Formal training courses
Formal training will be offered during the course of the programme including but not limited to:

  • Commercial awareness
  • Contractual awareness
  • Technical awareness
  • Onsite and offsite training with some involving travel overseas where applicable

Mentoring


On commencement of the programme, you will be assigned a mentor within the Supply Chain Management department who will provide day-to-day guidance and support your career progression and development.

The mentor will maintain regular contact with you providing direction to help you achieve your targets and goals.


Personal development


Subsea 7 believes that your career is owned by you however we will provide you with the tools and support to achieve your goals.

You will participate in project tasks to challenge your commercial and technical awareness, communication, presentation and team building skills.

You will also network with other Subsea 7 Commercial Graduates hired in different locations globally to share your knowledge and experience.


During the programme, applicants will have the opportunity for short duration overseas assignment in locations ranging from France, Brazil, Malaysia, Australia and others, with opportunities for future medium-term overseas assignments after the programme has been completed.


Supply Chain Management


The applicant will complete rotations to other Commercial departments as part of the programme and will then return to Supply Chain Management department on completion of the programme.

Key Supply Chain Management activities include but not limited to:

  • Management of procurement of medium to complex "engineered" materials and/or services from the bidding process to final delivery/completion as per the Project or Tender Procurement Plan requirements (Safety, Time, Cost, Quality).
  • Perform market analysis on Supplier base for required products / services
  • Prepare Request for Quotations and Projectspecific proposal documentation
  • Perform commercial and contractual analysis of supplier bids and make recommendations to the Project or Tender team
  • Perform commercial negotiation with Suppliers
  • Draft Subcontrac
