Our client is a thriving, progressive organisation with exciting plans for the future.

The role of Finance Manager will report directly to the CEO and operating at a senior level with a commercial focus.


The key duties of the role include:
Providing strategic advice to Board, Directors and the CEO:

  • Building business cases for growth opportunities in collaboration with the CEO and department heads
  • Producing and presenting reports on company performance, including board documents
  • Organisation of internal audit committee

Performance of management accounting:

  • Perform month and quarter close procedures, including VAT returns
  • Creation of monthly management account packs and department budgets, using journals for correct reporting
  • Support Finance Assistant in ensuring all invoicing, billing, purchase order creation and bank reconciliation is complete
  • Ensuring a customer service department enabled to deal with queries and issues with all finance related issues
  • Compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies and procedures
Ensure the company is financially stable and able to grow in line with the strategy:

  • Budgeting & forecasting, including yearly budget creation
  • Managing credit control processes with support of FA and heads of department
  • Cash planning and analysis
  • Capital reconciliation
  • Processing large payments in line with the terms of reference, including payroll
  • Ensuring robust financial systems, policies and processes are in place
  • Implement improvements to accounting systems in collaboration with the CEO
  • Cash management to ensure solvency and ability to pay liabilities as they fall due
Being responsible for the success of the company's finance team:

  • Mentoring, motivating and line managing the finance assistant
  • Managing and maximising the resource available, including outsourcing and automation where appropriate
  • Oversee the year end statutory accounts, including external accountant review
  • Managing the external audit process and liaising with external personnel
  • Overseeing tax compliance and site revaluations as required
