About the Post


The School of Allied Health Sciences is seeking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic Professional Assistant to provide professional assistance to the School Leadership and Management team.

The post holder will join the School of Allied Health Sciences at an exciting time, with the School having only been founded in September 2023.


The post holder will report to the School Manager, and work with them closely in supporting the day-to-day running of the School.

You will provide high level administrative support for the School, engaging with a range of colleagues across the institution, as well as students, partners, and stakeholders.


The School Office occupies both the iconic James Hehir building, which has recently completed refurbishment of a new dental clinic for the public and a state of the art teaching clinic for students on the brand new BSc (Hons) degree in Dental Hygiene and Dental Therapy, and the new Health and Wellbeing building which houses two floors of brand-new clinical simulation facilities, a new sports and exercise facility, a working radiography imaging suite, counselling/physiotherapy clinic rooms and the Suffolk Institute of Health and Wellbeing research.

Health and Wellbeing Building | University of Suffolk ). The post holder will be expected to divide their time between both buildings, when on campus.


About You


You will have excellent organisational, communication, problem-solving and IT skills, as well as experience of diary management, organising events, clerking meetings (including the collation and distribution of papers) and handling enquiries.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about making a difference in Higher Education administration and enjoys the challenge of working in a fast-paced environment.
