Do you have experience of working with Adults and Young People with complex barriers and backgrounds?

If so, Becky at JT Recruit is currently seeking a highly experienced Employment Advisor to join the team at a Local Authority based in Walsall on a short-term contract which could be extended.

As an Employment Advisor, you will play a vital role in providing an efficient, professional and client focussed employment and skills service to the people of Walsall.

To work with internal services and partner organisations to develop and deliver a responsive employment and skills service that meets needs and funding requirements.

To provide quality careers information, advice, and guidance in various settings to inactive young people and unemployed adults to improve their personal development, help inform career choices, access suitable training and prepare for the world of work.

To understand and help to break down the personal barriers faced by local people.

To organise and deliver programmes of small and large group sessions to help people engage with and progress into meaningful learning and work.

To track and monitor progress of young people who are not in education or employment.

To build excellent working relationships with internal services, statutory organisations, training providers, partner organisations, local employers, and their supply chain.

If you can develop and deliver a responsive employment skills service whilst building and maintaining strong working relations, manage caseloads and can mentor and coach clients

This is a full time post, 37 hours per week, based at the Street Hub
