The salary range for these roles is £46,634 - £52,625 per annum based on a 36-hour working week.

This is a 12 month Fixed Term Contract.

  • The Adult Social Care directorate at Surrey County Council, aims to support people to stay independent, safe and well so they can live the lives they want to. _
To support with our vision, we have created two 12-month fixed term/secondment opportunities in the Project Team.

The nominal base for these roles will be at Woodhatch Place in Reigate, however, you will be working agilely from a number of different locations,including from home, as determined by the requirements of your project.


About the role


This position will offer you the opportunity to have significant influence upon projects that shape the delivery of mental health and emotional wellbeing services and support to Surrey residents.

The Mental Health Improvement Plan (MHIP) is jointly delivered with our partner organisations, including the NHS and voluntary sector.

You will manage the development of strategies, projects and service development activities to ensure the MHIP deliversthe improvements our residents need.

You will provide high quality needs analysis, be able to identify and assess options and provide evidence-based policy advice. You will work collaboratively with our partners, senior officers across the Directorate andother areas of the Council. You will ensure the MHIP's aims are supported by robust implementation and change management plans.


About you


The role requires strong analytical skills, an ability to see the big picture, and the ability to deal with ambiguity.

You will have good communication, engagement and organisation skills and experience of working in a project and/or policy development environment,with a strong track record of managing complexity and delivering successful outcomes.

Experience of delivering change in a partnership environment and an understanding of mental health services and support would be highly beneficial.


The team operates in a matrix style where you will be working in a small team and undertaking a number of projects.
