Banksman/Slinger Signallers

JRL Civil Engineering is a part of the JRL Group which encompasses 14+ divisions delivering bespoke solutions for the most complex projects.

Since our inception in 2005, we have fast become an industry leader in the installation of Continuous Flight Auger (CFA), Rotary Bored, Cased CFA and Contiguous & Secant Pile Retaining Wall.

In addition to this we have other wide capabilities to provide a self-sufficient piling package which includes design and installation of Working Platforms, piling muck-away, piling attendances and Principle Contractor Role.

Due to continued growth we are recruiting a Banksman/Slinger Signallers for the division.

Responsibilities:

Establishing and policing of 'No Entry' zones around piling plant.
Controlling the installation of temporary pile casings including depth measurement, slinging and lifting of casings, measurement and control of position and verticality.
Ensuring that CFA piling augers are cleaned of all spoil including halting their extraction until it is completely removed.
Assessing loads for lifting and their lifting points in discussion with the Site Foreman, if appropriate.
Selecting of appropriate lifting equipment. Establish that it is in good condition and in test.
Securing slings to the lifting appliance.
Controlling the lifting operation until completed.
Signaling and banking of the load using standard recognised signals.
Careful handling and storing of lifting equipment.
Supervising the safe movement of piling plant, attendant machinery and site delivery lorries.
Assisting in carrying out plant rigging in accordance with appropriate Method Statement.
Working in accordance with project specific Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
Attending toolbox talk briefings.
Notifying changes in their area of operation to the Site Foreman.
