Our esteemed client, a leading law firm, are seeking a Legal Secretary to join their team based in Birmingham City Centre.
The Legal Secretary will be detail-oriented, possess excellent communication skills, and have the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.Legal Secretary duties will include but not be limited to:
- Opening and maintaining client files, including organising and managing client information and documentation
- Diary management
- Audiotyping
- Communicate and correspond with clients and thirdparty vendors in a professional manner
- Answer and screen phone calls, take messages, and maintain records of calls
- Organise and maintain a filing system for legal documents, correspondence, and other materials
- Provide general administrative support, such as copying, scanning, and faxing documents, and ordering and maintaining office supplies
- Ideally 2 years of experience working as a secretary,
- Experience in a legal setting would be advantageous but not essential
- Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong attention to detail
- Must be able to manage confidential information and maintain confidentiality
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines
