Description

Our esteemed client, a leading law firm, are seeking a Legal Secretary to join their team based in Birmingham City Centre.

The Legal Secretary will be detail-oriented, possess excellent communication skills, and have the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.


Legal Secretary duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Opening and maintaining client files, including organising and managing client information and documentation
  • Diary management
  • Audiotyping
  • Communicate and correspond with clients and thirdparty vendors in a professional manner
  • Answer and screen phone calls, take messages, and maintain records of calls
  • Organise and maintain a filing system for legal documents, correspondence, and other materials
  • Provide general administrative support, such as copying, scanning, and faxing documents, and ordering and maintaining office supplies
You will be assisting various departments across the firm.

  • Ideally 2 years of experience working as a secretary,
  • Experience in a legal setting would be advantageous but not essential
  • Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong attention to detail
  • Must be able to manage confidential information and maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines
The hours for this role are 9:15am to 5:15pm Monday to Friday with an hour for lunch.
