Applications are invited for a Researcher, to work in a team led by Professor Susan Jebb studying the links between obesity and metabolic disturbances, especially linked to insulin resistance and, in particular, dietary or weight loss interventions to treat the metabolic disease.


The post is embedded in the thriving Health Behaviours team in the Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences (NDPCHS).

The team work on interventions to prevent or treat ill-health by intervening on diet, obesity, and smoking.

We have a strong track record of applied research that can benefit patients and lead to changes in the health system.


You will be based in the Radcliffe Primary Care Building or Gibson Building of the Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences, Radcliffe Primary Care Building, Woodstock Road, Oxford, OX2 6GG as your normal place of work but there may be the opportunity for occasional remote working.

The position is funded initially by NIHR Oxford University Hospitals Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) until 31st March 2025.
