Are you a Behaviour Mentor looking for a new role in West Norwood, Lambeth?


Tradewind Recruitment are currently looking for a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join an Alternative Provision (AP) based in West Norwood, Lambeth starting immediately.

This is a full time, long-term role for the full academic year with a potential to gopermanent upon review. The daily rate for the position will be between £80 to £90 dependant on experience.


The School:

The Alternative Provision is 'Good' Ofsted rated providing education for students between 11 to 16 years old. It is part of a Multi Academy Trust consisting of 7 schools. The AP caters for students who are permanently excluded or at the risk of permanentexclusion. Students needs predominately in SEMH while some students may have additional needs.

The AP consists of up to 70 students across 2 sites with all students holding an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).

The school is easily accessible by publictransport and has free parking on site and on local roads.


The Position:

The AP are looking for a Behaviour Mentor who can support students across KS3.

You will be working in different classes with multiple students supporting them on a 1:1 basis and in small groups with their academic learning.

Additionally, you will supportingthem outside the classroom to overcome barriers to learning which may include issues such as behaviour, attendance and student welfare.

Within the AP, you will gain the opportunity to attend CPD's and training to aid professional development.

To join us and be successful in this role you will need to:

  • Hold previous experience working within SEN
  • Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
  • CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible
  • Legal right to work in the UK
