Bill and Payroll Assistant


An exciting opportunity has arisen, and we are now searching for a Bill and Payroll Assistant to join the TARCG team in a flexible hybrid working capacity (Remote and office-based) supporting our Exeter based office team.

This is a flexible permanent
full-time or part-time role from 21-40 hours per week.


The purpose of the Bill and Payroll Assistant in assisting the Payroll by running an effective payroll service with tasks including maintaining and inputting payroll information into the system, processing and calculating weekly payroll data, reconciliations, training support and to perform general payroll and finance related duties within a busy and fast paced aviation and aircraft maintenance recruitment environment, reporting to the Divisional Manager at TARCG.


TARCG is a specialist Aviation & Aerospace Recruitment Agency, we are a small and very personable firm, with a supportive and family feel.

We process hundreds of weekly Contractor timesheets and bill/pay cycles in multiple currencies utilising invoice factoring facilities. Our annual revenue has doubled in the last year, and we are forecasting 100% increase in revenue throughout 2024.


Experience working within a payroll or finance environment, customer service excellence, Strong and a high level of numeracy and the ability to deal accurately with calculations of a complex nature are key to the success of this position.


Responsibilities:


  • Providing exceptional customer service
  • Provide payroll advice and information
  • Assist in running and overseeing an efficient and effective payroll service
  • Check, calculate and input weekly and monthly payroll data
  • Process and monitor all staffing changes including starters, leavers and other amendments to salaries and data in compliance with policy and payroll requirements
  • Check and process expense claims
  • Producing, recording and uploading sales invoices
  • Advise employees, contractors and managers on payroll issues
  • Maintain all files and update information as required
  • Assist and advise on process enhancements

Other duties:


  • Weekly sales reporting
  • Processing purchase invoices
  • Assist with Bank Reconciliations
  • To maintain and input payroll information in a precise and accurate manner
  • Process relevant HMRC forms including P45, P46 etc
  • Prepare information to assist in the provision of information to external agencies
  • Carry out routine administrative/clerical duties as required

Qualifications/Experience:


  • Minimum 2 years experience in endtoend payroll administration
  • Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent
  • ACCA or equivalent _(Desirable)_

Package Overview:


  • Salary from £23£30K + bonus (Dependent on hours and DOE)
