The Anti-Counterfeiting Group (ACG) is an international association respected as one of the world's leading specialists in the fight against the global trade in counterfeit goods.

We are a not-for-profit trade association representing over 3,000 of the world's most prestigious brands.

We are a very small but passionate team, committed to representing our members and working with law enforcement agencies to shape an effective deterrent to counterfeiting, protecting businesses and consumers from the increasing dangers.

We provide assistance and intelligence to Governments and agencies and constantly work to change public perception about counterfeiting, by exposing it as a sinister global crime that damages economies, destroys jobs and increasingly threatens the health and safety of consumers across the world.


THE ROLE:

Reporting directly to the ACG Office Manager, the Admin Assistant will have excellent organisational skills and a can-do attitude.

The admin assistant will provide support to the ACG team with a focus on the delivery of ACG's event and training programme.


ACG is looking for a CONFIDENT and enthusiastic self-starter who uses their initiative and thrives when working autonomously in a fast-paced environment.

This will be a hybrid role and you would need to be a detail-oriented, team player with a willingness and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.


Events support; support the ACG team with the planning and running of ACG organised training and events. Examples of duties include;

  • Sourcing venues and negotiating contracts, invitation management, key milestone
delivery, logistics and event budget management.

  • Managing speakers for our events, organising presentations and requirements in advance and on the day.
  • Being present on the day of each event to ensure a smooth execution and to troubleshoot as necessary and represent ACG professionally.
  • Setting up, running and acting as host for our online webinars and training sessions as required.
  • Managing delegate registrations and management of bookings and delivery of delegate communication.
  • Creating sponsorship packages for each event, liaising with potential sponsors and then successfully delivery sponsorship packages.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to create event publicity, messaging and marketing that is consistent, accurate and engaging on our website, social media and through Mailchimp.

Secretariat support; provide direct administrative support to the ACG team as needed

  • Support with CRM Database updates to ensure it is current and up to date.
  • Support with Enforcement registrations and communications
  • Support with website updates and management
  • Support with invoicing processes; raise invoices, track and chase outstanding debts and
deal with invoice queries.

  • Support with preparing, editing and proofreading correspondence, reports and
presentations


Skills and experience required:


  • Minimum 2 years' experience of an administrative role
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with strong ability to think creatively and troubleshoot issues.
  • Selfstarter required with strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously using their own initiative.
  • High level of attention to detail and strong organisational skills are essential, with the
ability to prioritise effectively.

  • Some event management experience is desirable.
  • Creating and hosting Microsoft Teams meetings and acting as host by introducing guests and managing participants.
  • Proficient analytical and maths skills to assess event data and manage budgets and support with finance duties.
- knowledge of Canva and Mailchimp would be an advantage, but training will be given.

  • Confidence in learning and utilising our website CMS, online event booking systems and CRM software.
  • Flexible, adaptable, resilient team player with a "cando" attitude and willingness to work
collaboratively within a small team to provide support where required;

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of company information.
UK travel, overnight stays and occasional unsociable hours will be required.
Must have a full clean driving licence.
