Our Compliance Partners support the provision of second line regulatory and compliance policy advice and support to the first line of defence.
You will assist me in ensuring that Quilter Financial Planning (QFP) personnel and key stakeholders conduct their business in accordance with the requirements of the relevant regulatory environments, internal risk appetite and policies and standards.

About the Role
Core responsibilities
Provide leadership to the compliance partnering team ensuring direct reports are mentored and developed.
Contribute to the development of a diverse and inclusive culture within the team where the contributions of the team are recognised and feedback is 'in moment'.
Use in-depth knowledge and experience to support employees, promoting a climate of continuous improvement and ensure best practice is applied across the function.
Provide a regulatory and compliance advisory service, which covers, but is not limited to a range of services such as ensuring QFP compliance standards and practices meet regulatory expectations and are consistently interpreted across the business and delivering good customer outcomes and escalating concerns where customer outcomes may be negatively affected, or regulatory expectations are not being met.
Ensure adherence to the Senior Managers Regime and the impacts for the QFP, its Board and individuals to whom responsibilities have been allocated.
Identify opportunities to provide compliance support in a way that maximises added value and efficient use of resources across QFP.
Support and oversee regulatory and/or compliance technical change initiatives impacting the business that you partner with, providing advice and challenge to ensure full compliance within agreed regulatory deadlines within accepted project management disciplines.
Support the creation and relevant delivery of compliance training content on all applicable regulations and legislations to ensure the interests of QFP and its clients are protected.
Develop and maintaining a robust record keeping system that records all guidance issued from the team.
Provide high quality, incisive and timely reporting on regulatory and conduct risk, that satisfies executive and Board stakeholders at both at QFP and Quilter plc level.
Provide effective challenge and insight to the QFP governance fora of which you are a member/attendee, robustly setting out areas of heightened risk in relation to the activities undertaken, and influence management to achieve resolution of concerns identified.
Collaborate with the Quilter Risk Management Function and other Compliance teams to foster the sharing and implementation of best practice.
Develop and maintain a network of industry wide contacts to enhance industry level intelligence and benchmark activities.
Champion an effective risk culture in QFP including influencing the attitude to, and understanding of, risk across the business. A particular focus will be in relation to conduct risk culture, and the addressing of conduct risk concerns.
Forum and committee membership
The 2LOD Regulatory Change Risk Group, Authorisations Group, Adviser Risk Oversight Group and the Operations Leadership Group.
Advice and guidance
You will provide guidance and advice in response to queries and project activities, which may include but not be limited to appointed representative and adviser oversight and monitoring, conduct of business, conduct risk, SMCR and the Approved Persons Regime, conflicts of interest, outsourcing, incentives, financial promotions, regulatory permissions and gifts and hospitality.
Oversee the delivery of 2LOD risk assurance activity by conducting risk assessments of business lines, formulating the annual testing plan and conducting reviews of adviser files to ensure customers are receiving the right outcomes.
Be an effective member of the QFP Compliance Leadership team, supporting the "One Quilter Group Risk Function".
Support the Chief Risk Officer and Head of Compliance in maintaining an effective second line framework for QFP, including supporting on strategic initiatives as needed.
