Head of Compliance


Location:
Par, Cornwall. On-Site


Seniority Level:
Senior Management, reporting directly to the directors.

Role and Responsibilities:

As the Head of Compliance, your primary responsibilities will include:


  • Management of ISO 9001 (UKAS): Oversee and ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards, working towards continuous improvement with our external consultant.

Health & Safety: An understanding of health & safety practices in order to maintain and enhance safety standards across the site. NEBOSH certification is a plus.

Fire Safety Compliance: An understanding of fire safety to ensure compliance across the site. NEBOSH certification is a plus.

Compliance Project Management:

Lead the project management for achieving ISO 14001 compliance, collaborating with our external consultant.

Medicines & Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency(MHRA) - An understanding of Good Distribution Practice (GDP) & Wholesale Distributor Authorisation (WDA). Being trained to the Cogent Gold Standard is a plus.

Senior Management Meetings: Engage in weekly meetings with senior management to discuss and implement business improvements.

Staff Safety and Training Management: Oversee the management of staff safety and training programs to ensure competence in day-to-day activities.

Social Value:arrange social value initiatives, such as donations to the local food bank(s) and other local charities and organisations.


What We Look for in an Employee:

  • Attention to detail, passion for compliance, continuous improvement, team building, and leadership.
  • Background in management and implementation of ISO 9001 principles.
  • Exceptional time management skills and a willingness to go the extra mile.
  • Ability to navigate through the organisation, identifying relevant stakeholders and functions.
  • Capability to simplify complex regulatory or technical requirements for various stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Analytical skills and a keen focus on details.
  • Strong work ethic and a growth mindset.
  • Background in ISO 45001 is a plus.
