In this role you will be resonsible for the checking and inspection of Cargo Carrying Units as to be made 'Ready for Use' in support of shipping Operations.


Roles and responsibilities are as follows:
General

  • Facilitate the allocation of empty Cargo Carrying Units (CCU's) in accordance with Client requirements via CMS
  • Work closely with CCU Fleet controller to ensure client shipping requirements are fully met on time.
  • Log and raise Non-Conformance Reports in relation to CCU quality
  • Carry out on base stock checks
  • Complete Consignment Notes and Cargo Summary Tickets for transportation of CCUs offsite from ASCO Quayside
  • Inspection CCU's and, where certified, forklift duties when required
  • Assist with additional yard duties as specified by line management when required
  • Continuously promote a proactive HSEQ culture, ensuring participation and compliance.
  • Present a positive image of the company through first class service delivery and customer engagement.
  • Supervise the loading and unloading of trucks in the CCU area
  • Build effective relationships across the business by continually seeking to improve operations.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards within the operating areas
  • Adhoc duties as required in line with applicable training/competency assessments undertaken
Minimum Qualifications

  • Educated to National 5 or equivalent
Minimum Competencies (Skills, Knowledge, and Behaviours)

  • Maintains positive work relationships
  • Proven experience with CCU Operations
  • Relevant practical experience and a working knowledge of CCU's
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written
  • Effective planning and organising skills with a conscientious approach to completing tasks and an excellent attention to detail
  • Accustomed to working effectively in a fastpaced environment, flexible and can adapt to changing workloads and priorities, where high standards are not compromised under pressure
  • Computer literate with welldeveloped IT skills across the Microsoft suite, particularly in Outlook and Excel
  • Continuously promotes a proactive HSSEQ culture
  • Customer focused and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships, both internal and external
  • Ability to work standalone, demonstrating initiative and ownership, while a positive contributor to the wider team
Desirable Qualifications/Competencies

  • Counterbalance Forklift license
  • HSE Related Training
  • Working knowledge of CMS
  • Vehicle Banksman/Spotter Training
