You would be joining a busy marketing team and we need someone who has a passion for giving great service to internal customers, and who understands our venues customers.

As the Head of Venues Marketing, you will help ensure we are maximizing revenue from local/central marketing activities and supporting our 60 venues across the UK

You would be joining a busy marketing team and we need someone who has a passion for giving great service to internal customers, and who understands our venues customers.

As the Head of Venues Marketing, you will help ensure we are maximizing revenue from local/central marketing activities and supporting our 60 venues across the UK.


  • Experience in running successful marketing campaigns, aligning strategic planning with ad hoc delivery of key marketing campaigns, working alongside design agencies to deliver marketing campaigns
  • Strong Leadership,organisational and planning skills with the ability to set and prioritise goals
  • As part of the overall Mecca marketing strategy, create and manage a brand promotional calendar that drives new member acquisition and frequency of both new and core customers. That supports bingo and gaming product development, F and B offer development, peak seasons and events in venues, ensuring we optimise every opportunity and working closely with digital teams to ensure consistency of message where possible.
  • Closely manage and develop the approach to brand marketing and delivery to ensure all customer comms in venue are positioned in a way that reflects the wider brand strategy, creative positioning and tone of voice for Mecca.
  • Manage a Team of Marketing Managers & Executives who will help to deliver key marketing campaigns, across Venues, including app, website and CRM content and asset creation
  • Work with the Head of PR to develop this relationship to the extent that any PR initiatives and Brand Activations are conceived with an element of acquisition marketing in mind, ensuring we drive the greatest value from every opportunity.
  • Drive sales and profit performance for Mecca venues through management of key offer changes, product changes and brand development Be responsible for local marketing initiatives and calendars and drive the development of a clear process around local marketing activity
  • Drive revenue through new customer acquisition, customer frequency and ATV through digital and performance marketing.
  • Work with the CRM team to ensure delivery of key journeys and that revenue and visits opportunities are maximized for Mecca venues.
  • Liase with our Operational Teams including the Operations Director, Regional Operations Managers and our Venues General Managers
  • Manage budgets and ROI
  • Participate in Steering Groups of key (and relevant) product initiatives to ensure that brand marketing lens is always part of the consideration and planning process.

Qualifications:


  • Educated to degree level/or equivalent, marketing qualification and/or with relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with managers, senior executives and team members
  • The ability to communicate ambitious goals effectively while keeping your team motivated
  • Previous experience of working with a central marketing department or multisite environment
  • Experience of working with and partnering across cross functional teams.
  • Effective organization and time management skills
  • Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrates a high degree of commitment, energy and tenacity
  • Listens and treats others with respect
