Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, motivated therapist with relevant skills and experience to work as a Senior Therapist within the Gallery Team at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital.

Gallery Team provides comprehensive assessments and rehabilitation to patients medically stable for discharge, who are presently unable to return to their previous living situation.

Working closely with a senior specialist clinician and ward MDT we enable and equip patients to return home; maximise patients' function to progress to an appropriate discharge pathway as needs change; aim to reduce overall length of stay, having a positive impact on vital continual flow of patients through the hospital.

There are opportunities for proactive therapy driven service development.
Holistic therapy assessment and reablement skills are needed.

Self-management with a positive, open-minded approach to service delivery; enabling positive risk taking where appropriate; and an understanding of discharge planning/local patient flow pathways are essential.

You will be part of an integrated service with high levels of autonomy and flexibility. You must have excellent communication skills - experience of developing others is preferable.

You will need to embrace challenges of this often complex area, knowing you are well supported from a Clinical Lead.

There is also a commitment to some weekend working on Therapy weekend working rotas.
