An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Trauma Co-ordinating team here at Torbay hospital.

This small team of 3 work closely and autonomously with all members of the MDT to facilitate the trauma patient's journey through this busy department.

The working pattern would be Sunday and one week day which is negotiable to help facilitate a seven day service.

This post compromises of all administration duties required to secure the smooth transition of a patient's being admitted, their surgery, discharge with at times complex follow-up care.

The overall trauma team includes Matron, Senior Sister, Junior Sister, Consultant, Anaesthetists, Ward and Theatre staff alongside surrounding administrative staff throughout other areas within and outside the hospital.

We are a very busy department with commitment, compassion and professionalism. This in itself makes it an exciting team to be amongst.

Theatre lists, appointments, intricate changes of plans throughout the patients journey are populated by this post holder involving constant clear factual concise communication involving the patient, relatives, carer's and all other members of the multi-disciplinary team.

Excellent computer skills, communication skills and capabilities of working calmly and professionally within a highly pressured environment are essential.
