Energy Officer - Brent Council

Rate - Negotiable

3/6 months Contract

Job Purpose:


To provide cross-cutting project management and day-to-day support to the delivery of varied workstreams relating to communal and district heat supplies owned or utilised by Brent Council (domestic and non-domestic).


The postholder may be expected to lead the project management and delivery of specific elements, in particular related to Heat Metering & Billing.


To support the Senior Energy & Sustainability Manager, the Head of Environmental Strategy and Commissioning, and the Assistant Chief Executive and relevant officers from across all directorates of the council to successfully coordinate heat networks.


  • Experience (please specify all essential criteria):
  • Experience of working in the public sector
  • Experience of working on projects which cut across different directorates, bringing people together to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Experience of writing minutes and supporting administrative tasks within a small team setting.
  • Experience of demonstrating compliance with legislation.
  • Experience of managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Experience of working with a range of stakeholders, including internal and external stakeholders (such as residents and community organisations)
