What the programme will look like:

We are seeking three exceptional individuals to join us across our UK sites to be part of our Talent Programme starting in 2023.

During this unique programme you will explore the world of manufacturing malt and malted ingredients.

Within 3 years, you will have experienced various job rotations and get to know our Manufacturing Operations as well as Supply Chain and Logistics functions.

You will experience how we produce our traditional malts and then follow the brewing process and also understand how it is utilised in a wide range of malted ingredients.

Spending time in our production plants you will gain an insight about the national and international dimensions of our business.

After completing the programme, we expect you to move to a permanent management role in our business ideally in our Operations teams; this will be down to your performance and the potential you show us.

You will be accompanied on your journey by your fellow peers as well as a dedicated mentor.

Gaining a comprehensive insight into the malting process from raw material intake to final products made from the malt, placements might include, as examples:

  • Supporting our Intake teams with their continuous improvement journey.
  • Gaining hands on experience in the manufacture of malt or peated malt for the distilling industries.
  • Helping our malt extract manufacturing teams look at ways of improving and developing new ways of working with systems and processes.

What you will need to apply:

  • A Bachelors degree in a technical or business field, preferably with a focus in Science, Brewing Sciences, Manufacturing, Engineering, Agri-marketing or similar. (UK Level 6)
  • Personal drive and initiative
  • Positive 'can do' approach
  • Very good communication skills, verbally and written
  • Ability to quickly learn and adjust to new environments
  • Strong results orientation
  • Enjoy being part of a company with great heritage.
  • Confident in using MS-Office standard software.
  • Willingness to travel and to move the rotations may will be in different locations; Suffolk, Yorkshire or Asia
