This is a rare opportunity to become one of our first point of contacts.

This is an exciting and varied role that will require a dynamic individual to sign post, advise and become an integral member of the team here at Evergreen Care Trust.

Requirement - 13 hours over two days per week, with the ability to cover sickness and holiday.

Duties to include;

  • Being the first contact point of the Evergreen Care Trust and deal with all visitors to the office and helping them or directing them to other members of the team, as appropriate. Supporting coordinators in their roles as required.
  • Answering the telephone and either dealing with calls or transferring them to the appropriate member of staff. Making calls as required.
  • Maintaining accurate banking forms when money handed in and banking the money on a regular basis.
  • Taking referrals for services and passing these on to the relevant coordinators to be followed up by them.
  • Providing support and back up in creating volunteer rotas for the Evergreen Community Lunches and Hot and Wholesome Soup delivery.
  • Photocopying blank forms as required to ensure sufficient supply for staff to access and use in the pursuance of their positions.
  • Handing over appropriately to colleague(s) and ensuring that all required information is logged.
Any other tasks which are deemed appropriate and/or necessary for the smooth running of the Evergreen Care Trust.


Other Requirements:

Understanding the vision and ethos of the Evergreen Care Trust and the promotion of it;
Must be discrete, trustworthy and the confidentiality policy must be applied and adhered to at all times;
A great deal of resilience;
Post holder must be able to work as part of a team, have a good telephone manner and also have strong interpersonal skills when dealing with public, staff, clients and volunteers;

Must be competent in the use of computers, with a good working knowledge of Word and Excel (Publisher would be an advantage).

Must be be well-organised and able to work with accuracy, demonstrating attention to detail in all areas;
Post holder must be adaptable, adept at problem solving and also able to cope well under pressure;
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage a wide range of tasks;
Flexible and non-judgemental approach to people and work;
An understanding of the sector and a commitment to the Evergreen Care Trust and empathy with service users;

You will receive 5.6 weeks holiday per year (pro rata)
