Emotional Health and Wellbeing Coordinator


We are seeking an Emotional Health and Wellbeing Coordinator to manage and coordinate the Emotional Health and Wellbeing staff and program aimed at engaging and supporting vulnerable young people to improve their life chances.


You will be working for a Youth Work charity that always puts young people at the heart of everything they do.

They provide an incredible range of activities from football to mindfulness, dancing to cooking (to be honest there isnt much they dont do) in a safe, state-of the-art space.

Emotional Health and Wellbeing Coordinator


Salary:
£26,000 to £28,000 per annum

Hours:
Full time, 37hrs per week - including some evenings and weekends.

Contract:
Fixed term for 3 years


Location:
Wolverhampton

About the role:


As Emotional Health and Wellbeing Coordinator you will be responsible for developing and implementing a targeted program for young people with vulnerabilities associated with being in the care system, sexual exploitation, criminal exploitation, and poor mental health.


Some of your key responsibilities will include:
*Develop and implement an effective targeted program aimed at supporting vulnerable and at-risk children and young people
*Manage two support staff
*Manage the recruitment and training of a team of volunteers
*Support children and young people from diverse backgrounds
*Organise and facilitate activities and Emotional Health and Wellbeing related projects
*Develop and implement a recording procedure to effectively record the outcomes of the Emotional Health and Wellbeing Program


About you:
As Emotional Health and Wellbeing Coordinator you will need to bring with you the following skills and experience.

*Experience working with vulnerable young people
*Experience working with young people to improve their emotional wellbeing
*Experience in planning and leading activities with diverse groups of young people and volunteers
*Experience writing resources designed to grow and develop young people
*Experience of managing a team
*Excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills
*Ability to self-motivate and work to set deadlines and meet project targets
*Ability to work within a multi-agency framework to promote best outcomes for children/young people
*IT literate with the ability to research information and collate in the required template
*In depth knowledge and understanding of Child Protection and Safeguarding practice
