We are currently working with an established developer of high-performance scientific instruments based in Glasgow who are looking to hire an Embedded
Firmware Engineer / Electronic Engineer.

They are an office based, small multidisciplinary team working on small batch production, prototyping and some warranty re-work. The assembly is general low volume, high value e.g. lasers modules.
The successful applicant to the
Embedded Firmware Engineer / Electronic Engineer will be passionate about embedded system design. Ideally with experience using PIC Microcontrollers (18F)

MPLAB X, STM3
CubeIDE, TouchIDE

Job Duties:

Experience with (or desire to learn)PIC Microcontrollers (18F)
MPLAB X, STM3
CubeIDE, TouchIDE
Experience with USB, hardware design and debug and PC Layout (KiCAD) would be advantageous.
Basic understanding of boardlevel communication protocols such as I2C and SPI
Basic understanding of circuit design, schematic and PCB design
Embraces version control systems (Git)
Some electronics debugging experience in an electronics lab environment, familiar with multimeters, oscilloscopes, insystem debugging tools, etc
