BRC are working with a reputable Housing Association in Somerset to recruit a permanent Fire Project Surveyor into their team.

Our client is looking for someone to provide an efficient and effective reactive fire safety service to ensure safety of theircustomers


Main Responsibilities:

  • Deliver a variety of Fire projects utilising approved contractors and internal staff to ensure the organisation complies with its statutory obligations and customer expectations
  • Carry out inspections to ensure all works are delivered in accordance with agreed specification, quality and standards
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and the organisation's policies and procedures
  • Ensure excellent standards of customer care are applied to each contract and answer any queries or complaints
  • Liaise with the wider fire safety team, providing project management services for any fire projects, ensuring all relevant stakeholders are working inline with the project delivery timelines
  • Assist on delivery of fire safety programmes including overseeing completed works
  • Lead on the fire risk assessment process and/or other processes, visit, inspect and provide detailed specification for fire remedial works
  • Specify and manage fire safety improvement works to maximise safety
  • Complete post inspections, specify and manage fire safety improvement works to improve safety

Job Requirements:

  • Possess an industry recognised formal fire safety qualification (Level 3 minimum)
  • Good understanding of UK fire safety guidance and benchmark standards for existing buildings
  • Experience in contract surveying /demonstrate detailed work orders including specifications and materials
  • A driver with access to own vehicle
