As a Barclays Operational Risk Framework Manager, you will have an exciting chance to be accountable for the design and delivery of elements of Barclays Operational Risk Management Framework, working collaboratively with Senior Management across the organisation to develop and implement risk management practices that support the achievement of the bank's strategic objectives.

What will you be doing?

Writing Policies, Standards and Guidance in relation to elements of the Operational Risk Framework
Soliciting feedback from stakeholders across the Bank to deliver an approach that meets regulatory requirements and maintains the integrity of the Framework design
Assessing the Framework against regulatory standards and participating in industry initiatives /forums to discuss and review how operational risk is managed
Overseeing the implementation and the execution of the Barclays Control Framework that align to Operational Risk Policies, including engagement with the Chief Controls Office
Maintaining the Framework components to ensure a clear lineage from Laws, Rules and Regulations through Policies, Standards and Controls
Completing periodic Control Assessments, reviewing the design and operating effectiveness as part of the broader Op Risk Function
Leading the execution of Framework activities, for example SOX Entity Level Control assessments, annual Strategic Risk Assessments, setting of Operational Risk Appetite

What we're looking for:

Education to degree level or equivalent or have relevant work experience within financial services
Experience working with operational risk including the components of an OR framework, relevant regulatory requirements, and some Policy /Standard experience
Able to work with autonomy and have experience of managing a number of projects /tasks concurrently to meet deadlines and stakeholder requirements
Excellent written and oral communication skills with an ability to communicate and influence at all levels, including presenting at Senior Management Fora /Committees

Skills that will help you in the role:

Experience of working in financial services (within a Risk /Operational Risk or Compliance function) in a governance, reporting, policy, or conformance /assurance role
Awareness of Barclays Enterprise Risk Management Framework (ERMF), Operational Risk Framework (ORF) and the Operational Risk & Controls System (ORAC)
Understanding of operational risk principles and common tools (such as RCSAs, KIs and controls)
Risk Management /Operational Risk qualifications are considered preferable
