Teaching Assistant, 1-2-1, Special Educational Needs School.


Are you a Teaching Assistant or Classroom Assistant with experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs? Have you worked with Autism, ADHD, Asperger's and other complex learning needs? We are looking for a Teaching Assistant to join an established and outstanding Special Educational Needs school in Birmingham.

This wonderful, nurturing setting are looking for a Teaching Assistant who is compassionate, kind, caring and committed to making a difference.

The school has outstanding facilities, and a track record of excellence.

As a Teaching Assistant at this school, you will be providing 1-2-1 and small group support.

You will be working with a team of experienced Teaching Assistants and supporting an enthusiastic and caring class teacher on a daily basis.

As a Teaching Assistant you will be tasked with providing interventions on a 1-2-1 basis, supporting small groups, and making school a safe and fun place to be.

The staff are wonderful, and you will feel like part of the team from day one.

Experience working with Special Educational Needs is essential for this role and a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable.

This school requires more than just a Teaching Assistant, but someone who is genuinely passionate about helping children get the most out of each day.


Job Role:

  • Supporting on a 121 basis within small classes of KS2 children with additional needs
  • Having a good understanding of a range of additional needs
  • Working as a Classroom Assistant / Teaching Assistant
  • Taking part in whole school activities and making school fun, engaging and beneficial for pupils
  • Breaking down barriers to communication and managing behaviours
