Associate Director, Promotional Materials & Compliance


This is an exciting new role in our Promotional Materials & Compliance team that has an outstanding international reputation for services to clients.

Our UK team includes the most sought-after experts in the fields of healthcare compliance consulting and medical review/signatory support, and this role will provide you with the opportunity to work closely with other thought-leaders including the regional Head of Promotional Materials & Compliance as well as the global practice area lead to further develop and grow the team and the market-leading solutions that our clients come to us for.


Your Job

  • Leading and managing the Healthcare Compliance and Medical/regulatory Review/Approval Team ("Promotional Materials & Compliance" Team) aligning the local service offering with the global service strategy in collaboration with the Senior Director/head of department and global practice area.
  • Acting as medical/regulatory reviewer and/or signatory, as appropriate.
  • Supporting/training direct/indirect reports in relation to the ABPI Code of Practice, including mentorship of internal aspiring signatories.
  • Recruiting new team members and ensuring they have the right skills and qualifications for the role.
  • Providing onthejob direction and mentoring to aspiring signatories.
  • Directly provides flexible services to clients, balancing leadership and management responsibilities with clientfacing work (ideally, achieving a minimum of 75% of billable time), to include:
  • Developing and delivering ABPI training to pharmaceutical companies and agencies
  • Audits and associated CAPA recommendations
  • SOP development/review
  • Providing guidance to aspiring signatories
  • Hourly based consultancy support and advice.
  • Principal UK/IE commercial/operational point of contact with the global practice area by providing support for the preparation of local quotes and represents UK/IE on Global RFPs, and by developing UK/IE commercial PMC strategy in close collaboration with the PMC practice area lead.
  • Working together with the Senior Client Relationship Manager, Practice Area Lead, VDC country head or representative & country manager, and with support from the proposal manager, responsible for the preparation of responses to requests for proposals / requests for information (RfP/RfI) and quotes on global level as applicable.
  • Attending monthly PMC core team meeting, as needed, with the core representative for UK/IE.

Your Profile

  • Ideally, UKregistered pharmacist.
  • Experience and impressive track record in the pharmaceutical industry & pharmaceutical consulting.
  • Excellent knowledge of applicable regulatory/code framework, especially ABPI, IPHA and, as appropriate, EFPIA Codes of Practice.
  • Wellnetworked in the field in the UK/IE; good reputation with the appropriate authorities, e.g. PMCPA.
  • Ability to lead and work in a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Selfconfident and assertive.
  • Confidence to work unsupervised.
  • Business/commercial acumen.
  • Ability to identify and offer solutions to problems in a pragmatic way.
  • Flexibility and adaptability.
