This job role requires a proactive approach of working in order to provide adequate support to senior management, staff and parents.

Offering full time as well as flexible childcare, our aim is to provide high quality care and education to meet the needs of all families.

The role is for 30 hours per week during term time Monday to Friday 9.30am to 4.00pm


Job Purpose

• To provide high quality care, education and early years learning experiences for children between the ages of 3 months to 4 years
• Support our practitioners to ensure that the team works and operates at optimum level
• To assist in the promotion of a safe, caring, respectful and inclusive environment
• To ensure compliance with all nursery policies and procedure and government legislation

You will have:

• Experience of support work in an EYFS setting
• Experience of working with children 0 4 years
• Ability to develop good working relationships with parents and other service providers
• Providing care and education to children from a wide range of backgrounds, including those with special educational needs.
• Experience of effectively supporting Nursery Practitioners.
• Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage, Ofsted regulations and inspection criteria.
• Demonstrate an awareness of current knowledge in developments in Early Years.
• Have an awareness of Health & Safety legislation and Equal Opportunities
• Excellent understanding of the needs of young children.
• Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding children procedures.

Education & Training:
Essential

• Relevant Childcare Qualfication/CACHE Diploma in Childcare or Level 3 NVQ childcare

Desirable

• Enhanced DBS/Update Service
• Paediatric First Aid certified
• Level 2 Safeguarding Training
• Food Hygiene
• Health and Safety
