This is a hybrid role, with the majority of the delivery remote.Depending on the learners and their situation, there may be a need to occasionally attend a learner's workplace. This is on a case-by-case basis but will be rare.
This role is varied and gives you some diversity as you will have a small caseload as well as be involved with workshops and exam invigilating/marking (remote).
Main duties:
- Ensuring learners are producing evidence of their knowledge, skills, and behaviours in line with the apprenticeship standard.
- Managing a caseload of apprenticeship learners
- Mock Exam marking
- Ensuring learners complete their diagnostics before the English and Maths aims start
- Working with the main aim of Assessors/Tutors to ensure a supported learner experience of their apprenticeship
- Full creative control of teaching and learning materials
- Prepare/deliver Functional Skills remote workshops to your own learners
- Managing your diary efficiently to ensure timely visits and achievement of seeing all allocated learners within the agreed timescale and in line with ESFA
- Provide onetoone or group teaching and learning sessions covering core knowledge
- Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner's needs
- Attending and contributing towards standardisation meetings
Requirements:
- Must be qualified Assessors with recognised Assessor award:
- D32/D33, A1, TAQA OR CAVA, OR EPA
- Must possess either a PTTLS/CTTLS or AET/CET or higher certificate
- IT literate, knowledge of Microsoft packages, online/digital learning, and webinarbased technologies
- Experience in delivering full Apprenticeship Standard and Functional Skills
- Specialist knowledge in Mathematics
- Approachable, Confident, and professional with the ability to inspire and motivate people
- Knowledge and experience in using eportfolios systems(OneFile).
Hours: 12 hours per week (with an agreement for this to increase over time - This to be discussed with the Centre Manager).
Your time needs to be covered via 1-1 and/or group teaching and learning sessions, group teaching, and learning sessions, completing learner reviews, attending and contributing to learner enrolments and any planning/assessing required.
