As an Area Sales Representative at The Dalesman Group you will have ideally proven sales experience within a food manufacturing background, you must have a professional and personable attitude and use your excellent account management skills to grow new and existing accounts.
Main responsibilities:
- Anticipate potential opportunities by researching the relevant markets, competitors, locating potential marketing opportunities, where necessary.
- Maintain loyalty from existing customers through regular visits, and the introduction of relevant products and services.
- Call on potential customers to introduce the company, leave sample products and information.
- Keep in contact with customers both in person and by telephone.
- Identify and interpret your customers' needs.
- Make presentations to promote new or existing products to customers.
- Develop new and innovative ways of selling the company's products.
- Maintain regular contact with the Sales Office to communicate sales orders and activities.
- Liaise with the Sales Office regarding customer queries on documentation, stocks, delivery, and service.
- Agree sales, prices, contracts, and payments.
- Advise customers about delivery schedules and after sales services.
- Be aware of the company's terms of trading, and ensure that all customers are also aware, and that they keep to these same terms.
- Be aware of competitor activity and the products they are offering.
- Keep up to date with changes and industry trends.
- Review own sales performance and developing yourself to achieve aims (inc individual sales targets) and objectives of the company.
- Travel to Bradford (minimum once per month) for sales meetings.
- Attend Trade exhibitions, whenever necessary.
