Description
We currently have an exciting new opportunity for an Instrumentation, Automation and Control (IAC) Asset Engineer to support the Network E&I Asset Management team, in ensuring that key systems and processes operate effectively and safely.
You will also beresponsible for working closely with colleagues from several functions/departments across the business, including Energy Futures, Biomethane, E&I Operations and Operational Technology (OT) Cyber SecurityKey responsibilities will include;
- Ensure SGN's asset management policy is followed to meet our ISO55001 accreditation.
- Ensuring that control systems, communication and telemetry projects are compliant to SGN's Cyber Assessment Framework.
- Ensuring Industrial Automation Control Systems (IACs) OT projects are carried out safely and in accordance with SGN policy and procedures.
- Develop business plans to manage the lifecycle of Electrical, Instrumentation and Operational Technology assets.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING
The job holder will be required to be performance orientated and a self-motivated individual who is able to control budgets, people, resources, and tasks.
They must be able to balance conflicting priorities and challenging timescales and be able to workwith people at all levels.
Desirable;- Knowledge and experience of instrumentation, programmable logic controllers (PLC's), telemetry and data communication systems.
- Knowledge of security for industrial automation and control systems (BS EN IEC 62443)
- Ideally hold a formal qualification in instrumentation and control systems or experienced gained working in industry.
- Experienced with operational technology cyber security controls and management.
