Shifts pattern:2 on 4 off shift pattern with sleep-in after each shift

What you'll do_


An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Crystal Care Solutions team for a Residential Children's Worker within one of our registered Children's Homes.

Our aim and yours will be to transform the lives of looked-after children. As a Residential Children's Worker, every day will be different and you won't find a more rewarding career.

You'll enjoy working with children and young people, providing day to day support, guidance and activities. You'll create a safe, caring and supportive place to live for children and young people.

What you'll need_

  • Provide a safe environment for the young people in our care
  • Good communication skills with the ability to develop positive relationships
  • Be a good team player to provide a high level of care and achieve positive outcomes
  • Encourage the young people to be motivated and take part in activities, education and extracurricular activities
  • Have attention to detail ensuring correct information is recorded in all paperwork
  • Demonstrate a commitment to own training and development
  • Be able to adapt working practice to the ethos of the home
  • Have resilience, motivation and determination
  • Can adapt to challenging and changing situations
  • Be inclusive to all children and young people
  • Be confident in using Microsoft Office including Outlook and Word, or willing to learn
  • Be flexible and able to undertake shift work including weekends and sleepins.
  • Full UK driving licence and a car available for work use with business insurance.

Desirable Attributes_

  • Diploma L3 Health and

Social Care:
Practice (Children and Young People) or equivalent or willingness to work towards the above Level 3 qualification

  • Knowledge of current legislation relevant to Children's Homes
  • Experience of Ofsted inspections
  • Understanding of attachment and trauma in relation to young people
