Delivery Programme


The Mid-Life MOT contract (MLMOT) encourages and enables people aged 45-55 to stay in work longer and enjoy a more secure retirement through helping them take stock of their Work, Wealth, and Wellbeing.

The aim of the programme is to encourage and enable individuals to engage with later life planning through a holistic assessment of their Work, Wealth, and Wellbeing.


The MLMOT Private Sector Pilots are part of the wider enhanced package for those 50+, as announced in the Government's 2021 £500m Plan for Jobs Expansion.

This package announced that older workers will receive better information and guidance on later life planning, helping them make informed choices and supporting them to plan their career and remain in work.


The Role


The role of the Employer engagement executive is to engage with a number of local employers to generate buy in to engage with their employees around a Mid Life MOT assessment and action plan.

and building key relationships with employers across the CPA promoting the MLMOT service. Providing employers with high-quality services with a variable focus on staff retention and employee preparation for later life.

The EEE's will be locally embedded across the CPA and are the core function for the ongoing relationship with the employer.


The salary for this position is £31,065.

Key Responsibilities

  • Onboarding employers to support the principles and delivery of MLMOT with their employees.
  • Work with employers to identify cohort & codesign a tailored introduction and engagement pathway for employees e.g. explainer video/podcast.
  • Secure sustainable relationships with employers to enhance the delivery of the contract.
  • Deliver tailored valueadded services, including individual needs analysis' to secure stronger relationships and longterm employer commitment.
  • Manage the coordination of a response to employer's requirements following identification and qualification of employer needs.
  • Maintain a continuous understanding of the local/regional labour market and employer needs in order to inform operational delivery and support targeting of sectors and employers that would benefit most from the programme.
  • Work collaboratively with the Marketing Coordinator to host a series of roadshow events/breakfasts with employers and representative organisations to promote the scheme and drive momentum.
  • Work closely with the local JCP Employer Relation Managers and SPOC's promoting the MLMOT to employer networks across the CPA. Build referral networks with Employers, Trade Unions, Agencies (Hays), CIPD, RTC (e.g. SME), Chambers, LEPs, Springboard, Tourism Bodies, LA's etc. across the CPA.
  • Provide MLMOT employers with an evidencebased report detailing insights, feedback and suggested improvements for future employees and measure impact through an employee engagement framework to enhance the MLMOT offer going forward.
  • Deliver performance against a variety of agreed contract KPI's inline with the MLMOT contractual requirements.

Person Specification

Experience and Qualifications

Essential:

  • Experience of working in an Employer/Customer focused, results driven environment.
  • Understanding of Employer's needs, experience of training needs analysis and organisational needs analysis, translating these in to fit for purpose programmes and services.
  • Experience of account management and or commercial sales activities (B2B and or B2C).
  • Ability to work peripatetically across the Devon and Cornwall CPA
  • Full clean drivers' licence and access to own vehicle
  • A good understanding of the local areas/ communities within the CPA

Desirable:

Knowledge and experience of the employability sector and local labour market


Maintain a good understanding of the local/regional labour market and employer needs in order to inform operational delivery and support targeting of sectors and employers that would benefit most from the programme.

Demonstrate an awareness of the MLMOT customer base and the potential barriers that they may experience.
