Description

Our client are a leading and long-standing manufacturer of products into a wide range of industrial sectors. They are currently looking to recruit a suitably experienced Finance Manager, to oversee their UK accounting function in Banbury.

The Finance Manager will be responsible for putting together concise and timely financial data for the management team, to include; budgeting, forecasting, cost reduction analysis, ledger management and financial reviews of all day to day operational performancein the business.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on accountant with good leadership/team management skills, as you will also be responsible for a small team.

Key duties & responsibilities:

Control of the cost and revenue budget, including analysis of variances between budget and forecast, management of working capital and cash flow.
Manage the accounts receivable and accounts payable functions, including debtor days, reviews of suppliers etc.
Provide monthly reporting inlcuding commentary and analysis.
Manage interim and year end audits and to be first point of contact for auditors.
Manage the preparation of the company's budget.
Timely VAT filing.
Management of tax audits and customs regulatory requirements.
Critical assessment of yearly sales forecasts against income budgets, as well as support of all commercial departments with regards to financial analysis.
Cost accounting for manufacturing expenditure.

Skills and experience required:

Previous Finance Manager/Senior Accountant experience within a commercial organisation.
Line management experience, able to coach and support others.
Excellent communication at all levels and able to work as a key part of a management team.
Accounting software skills, as well as MS office.
Adaptable to change and flexible.
Reliable and looking for a longterm position.
