Learning Resource Assistant
The Role
One of our leading clients based in London and the surrounding areas are recruiting Learning Resource Assistants to join this further education establishment.
You will be responsible for the helping the Learning Resource team to take care and help with their curriculum.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about the work they do, looking for flexibility within their role, and is looking to grow and develop within the Sector.
The role would suit an individual who is looking for a challenging and rewarding work environment, where working as a team is key to the success of the company.
The Duties
- To work as part of the Resource Learning Team to support and include learners with learning difficulties, disabilities and other barriers to learning within the curriculum.
- To support the quality of teaching and learning in the curriculum areas.
- To support progress and attainment of identified learners with additional SEND/EHCPs to achieve success on their course of study.
- To promote the highest level of independence for each student, whilst ensuring they are at all times in a safe and healthy environment.
- To provide support for students who require it.
- Liaising with parents to support with students
- Modelling and promoting positive values, attitudes, and behaviour

Experience and Qualifications
- Work closely with teachers, to ensure that the support needs of learners are
- Supporting learners in the classroom, workshop environments and one to one
- To undertake reading, scribing, IT support, personal care the preparation and adaption of learning materials as appropriate to individual learner needs
- Willingness to be trained in related topics
- Awareness of Health & Safety procedures and willingness to undertake training
- Driver Preferred
- PVG/DBS Check Required
- SEN/ASN Experience Advantageous
