Description

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant (HCA) to join our healthcare team. As an HCA, you will play a critical role in supporting the physical and emotional well-being of our patients. You will work closely with other healthcare professionals, including doctors and nurses, to provide high-quality care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

Providing personal care and support to patients, including feeding, washing, dressing, and toileting.
Assisting with mobility and transfers, including the use of hoists and wheelchairs.
Monitoring patients' vital signs and reporting any changes to the nurse or doctor.
Helping to maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, including changing bed linen and disposing of waste.
Supporting patients' emotional wellbeing by providing companionship and conversation.
Assisting with basic medical procedures, such as taking blood pressure and administering medication.
Documenting patient care and reporting any concerns to the nurse or doctor.
Participating in team meetings and contributing to the development of care plans.

Qualifications and Skills:

Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
Completion of an accredited HCA training program or relevant experience.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Compassionate and empathetic nature.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Basic medical knowledge and familiarity with medical terminology.
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
Physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks.
Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time, Temporary contract, Freelance

Part-time hours: 35-40 per week

Salary:
£11.00-£17.00 per hour
