Job description
GSL Education are seeking a behaviour support assistant to work in a Primary School in Stockport.

The school we are supporting, is a mainstream Primary School that require a strong and resilient Behaviour Support Worker to work in a 1:1 capacity with a young person in upper Key Stage 1.

The young person in question displays some challenging behaviours and needs to be supported throughout the school day to ensure that they are able to minimise any disruptions when they are at a low level.

You will build a rapport quickly with the young person to establish their needs and work with them accordingly.

Your role will be one where you are available to offer academic support as well as supporting with emotional and behavioural barriers to learning.

We are seeking to appoint a committed Behaviour Support Assistant who will work closely with the school SENCO, pastoral team and other staff to raise standards of the student behaviour throughout the school day both within the classroom and around school.

This role is full time, between the hours of 8:30AM to 3:30PM approximately.
