Acorn by Synergie is currently seeking an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk/Administrator on behalf of their client, to be responsible for controlling the Purchase Ledger for the various Special Purchase Vehicles 'SPVs', to ensure utility suppliers and local authorities are paid in a timely and accurate manner, and to contribute to the ongoing success of our client's growing finance function.
This role requires someone with solid, demonstrable experience as a Purchase Ledger - someone who is confident in their abilities, who can quickly adapt to our way of working, and who relishes the opportunity to be a big part of a pro-active and fluid finance team.

Role responsibilities:
- Logging high volumes of Purchase Ledger invoices onto our internal system and taking control of the authorisation process
- Requesting & collating meter readings from multiple, nationwide sites and liaising with suppliers where needed
- Logging monthly payment instalments into a central repository, preparing payment spreadsheets and managing the relationships with third party suppliers/organisations
- Maintaining and monitoring our online utility and rates account portals
- Ensuring all suppliers are paid in line with our expected service level agreements
- Providing a friendly and efficient client service in taking responsibility and dealing with landlord and service charge supplier queries
Role requirements:
- Strong understanding/experience in Purchase Ledger
- Great written and spoken communication skills
- A keen eye for accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to be adaptable and to prioritise workload
- Working knowledge of computerised purchase ledger systems, preferably Qube
- Numerate to GCSE level or equivalent/ relevant NVQ II or above /AAT/CIMA
