Job Summary:

A Milton Keynes based Property & Asset Management Practice are looking to appoint an Assistant Property Manager to work across a Commercial portfolio.

The portfolio consists of mostly industrial buildings/warehousing, however, you will also get involved in a mixture of Offices and Neighbourhood Retail assets.

The firm have a hugely experienced and established team to learn from and have built long standing client relationships across the local area and within the UK.

You will not need to have an RICS Accredited degree or in-turn be wanting to become chartered, you simply need a passion for Property Management


THE ROLE

  • Assisting one of the directors by dealing with the Property Management side of the instruction
  • Working closely with tenants to maintain and build strong relationships.
  • Management of rental and other income including tenant arrears.
  • Liaising with the property accounts team to ensure compliance with the rent collection KPIs
  • Ensuring tenants' compliance with lease obligations in relation to use and maintenance obligations.
  • Preparation and administration of service charge budgets and expenditure.
  • Overseeing the provision of common services to properties and tenants.
  • Instructing contractors to undertake general repair works.
  • Ensuring compliance with legislation including Health and Safety and other regulations.
  • Working with landlords and tenants on all other matters relating to the clients' property portfolio.
  • Assist in the management of tenant and client relationships and all portfolio wide matters such as monthly client reporting, quarterly KPI reporting, managing collation of environmental data etc.
  • The ability to travel independently to the properties around the country
  • Other ad hoc duties as required.

ABOUT YOU

  • Ideally a minimum of 2 years' experience in Property Management within the commercial sector
  • Professional, personable with a commercial approach
  • Ability to problem solve and multitask is essential
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work with, motivate and develop other team members
  • Positive attitude and a team player
