Morgan McKinley is looking for a Data Analyst for an exciting, newly created role, based in Oxford, working for a new division for our client, who is an exciting manufacturing organisation with a great reputation for looking after their employees and offera fun vibrant work environment.

We are looking for someone who is keen to add value through production of detailed and accurate analysis, modelling, and KPI tracking for the divisionsFinance Business Partner and Finance Business Partner manager to liaise with the wider business, using the analysis produced to make key business decisions for financial objectives of the projects and the organisation.

This role is working with both internal stakeholders as well as clients and 3rd party contacts, working in the Finance Business Partnering team supporting key decisions.

This is a permanent role, offered with bonus, 25 days annual leave + Bank holidays, private healthcare, life assurance and flexible working and more.


Reporting to the Finance Business Partner you will be tasked with the following:

  • Cost Analysis and Modelling
  • Build and maintain agile cost models that can be used for performance analysis
  • Track the financial KPIs to measure performance and identify areas for improvements
  • Work with the business to maintain models and forecasts
  • Scenario planning and analysis including forecasting and tracking
  • Interrogate large volumes of data to present metric and trends that can be easily understood by stakeholders and provide recommendations and support.
  • Critically approach project work and develop logical solutions

What you will need:


  • Experience in job roles such as Analyst / Data Analyst / Finance Analyst/ Assistant FP&A analyst/ Assistant Finance Business Partner/
  • Degree educated or equivalent academic and /or professional development record
  • Ideally 2 years' experience in a similar role
  • Demonstrable expertise with data modelling and production of insights
  • Capability to use business intelligence tools such as Power BI/ Hyperion/ Tableau etc
  • Demonstrable ability to challenge the status quo, solve problems and deliver innovation
  • Strong communicator who can build relationships
  • Able to produce meaning full data to nonfinancial stakeholders using Powerpoint etc
  • Ideally have experience of working on projects with a financial objective such as cost reduction or revenue generation
