Logistics Operative - MCT Reman Ltd - Weston-super-Mare

Full Time - Permanent Role - Day Shift

We are a renowned Tier 1 supplier based in W-s-M, with a customer base including several major Automotive manufacturers, and are currently looking to strengthen our Logistics team.

The Role:

This is a varied role in a busy production environment, and applicants must be prepared to work under pressure and to challenging time constraints, managing their time effectively to complete all required tasks.

Job role and responsibilities:

Load and unload wagons with forklift
Identify and pick parts based on part number
Store parts with forklift in organised manner
Repair of wooden boxes to high standard
Securing and shuttling loads while driving company van
Assist the Production Manager with Yard/Core functions
Check, process & transact incoming and outgoing goods in a timely, accurate and efficient manner
Liaise with Quality, Purchasing, Production and Lineside Stores staff to ensure that work is prioritised and processed in the optimum manner to suit the needs of Production Lines
Assist implementation of improvements to storage arrangements and working practices, highlighting problems and offering ideas & solutions

Skills / experience required:

Previous logístical experience essential
Excellent attention to detail
Understanding of ERP inventory software system
Experience of stock control and inventory management
FLT/Counterbalance licence essential
Full UK driving licence essential
Computer literate and good handwriting

Personal attributes:

Highly organised and motivated to get the job done
An effective communicator
Physically fit as the role can be physically demanding at times
Willingness to work as a team or alone
Required to work outside
Understanding of Health and safety
A desire to improve things and to provide a good service to internal colleagues and external customers.

A Work Based pension (Eligible to join after 3 months)

25 days holiday a year (not including Bank Holidays)

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent

Pay:
Up to £14.50 per hour

Expected hours:
No less than 37 per week
